Maritana, by William Vincent Wallace, libretto by Fitzball and Alfred Bunn, was first produced at the Drury Lane Theatre in 1845. The opera is set in seventeenth century Spain.
Fra Diavole, is a comic opera in three acts by the French composer Daniel Auber, from a libretto by Auber's regular collaborator Eugène Scribe. It was first performed on 28 January 1830.
The Bohemian Girl is a ballad opera composed by Michael William Balfe with a libretto by Alfred Bunn. Loosely based on a Cervantes tale, La Gitanilla, it was first produced in London at the Drury Lane Theatre on 27 November 1843.
Clara Bernard later appeared, as a member of the Chorus, in the Original Broadway Production of Sweet Marie in 1901
