"Director's Notes" (Derek Coleman). Two pages; the question of resident rep company or venue for touring companies continues. Arguments for and against both systems have been bandied about in regional theatres throughout Britain. Here in Chesterfield we are proposing the theatre be open all year and within the rep. programme incorporate touring company presentations, as well as amateur societies and dance schools. The problem however is - CASH!
